We know that some anxiety is normal, and even useful if it motivates us to action. But sometimes we find ourselves feeling anxious in situations where we don’t need to be – it’s as if the body doesn’t reset itself to a calm state once the threat or danger is gone.
Our ‘Managing Fear & Anxiety’ module explains what anxiety is, how it can affect different people, what sets it off and what to do about it. We’ll ask you to think about your life and record times when you feel anxious. Understanding your anxiety is the first step toward managing it.
Once we can understand what makes you anxious and fearful, we will recommend techniques to manage those situations, and provide scenarios to practice them in.
We work with the Black Dog Institute, a leading research facility, which provides content that was part of a successful randomised control trial – the gold standard in research! The trial demonstrated a significant reduction in symptoms of stress, anxiety and low mood in just a few weeks.
It's kind of like having a pocket therapist.
